Welcome to the HigherLight blogspace.  From time to time I will be sharing tips, random thoughts, and reviews relevant to my experiences using technology in small to medium size churches.  Why do we need another blog about church media?  Well, I subscribe to most of the publications and blogs out there in the web-o-sphere about using media to share the message of the gospel.  Too many of these materials are either glorified marketing tools or focus on churches of considerable size. (I’ll leave it up to you to determine what that means.)  The smaller church wants to be technologically, and thus culturally, relevant but there are many factors which can limit their ability to participate in the technological revolution represented by current trends in church media.  Affordability, human resources, knowledge, and time are just a few of the factors which may discourage a church from expanding into the technological world.  But there are alternatives.   Discovering these options and encouraging the local church will be the main focus of this blog.  Enjoy!
